Mrs. Nelsen began her teaching career in Houston, Texas and came home to Bay City after three years. She spent 32 years in Bay City teaching English at Bay City Central. In 2024, she retired from Bay City and feels refreshed to continue her career at Nouvel. She is married to her husband, Rick, and has identical twin sons, Hunter and Parker, who are 28 and reside in Troy.
