Dr. Jennifer Bieszke is a native of Bay City Michigan who developed a love of science in elementary school. Due to dedicated teachers, she was able to secure a cooperative student position in high school at the Dow Corning Corporation and remained there for two more years as she completed courses at Delta College. She transferred to Oakland University to complete a B.S. in Biochemistry and returned to Dow Corning Corporation in a gap year to get married! She has been married 28 years now to her husband, Steve. She graduate school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas, earning a doctorate in Microbiology in Molecular Genetics and then completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Michigan State University. She transitioned to a teaching position after their daughter, Rose, was born and has been teaching primarily college students for the last 20 years and volunteering as a Catechist. She is excited to share with the students of Nouvel her experiences and inspire them to look at the word thoughtfully so that they can help solve problems that will make the world a better place.
