As part of their annual service project, our students in kindergarten and young fives participate in Operation Christmas Child. This past November, students packed 54 shoeboxes to send around the world for Christmas. The students were excited to give coloring books, crayons, notebooks, soap, wash cloths, toothbrushes, toys and other small items to other children. A book about Jesus will be added to each box from Samaritan Purse (the organization who oversees the project and ships the boxes) to spread the good news to the remote regions of the world where the boxes are sent. After a fun morning of packing the boxes, Father Rick came to the classroom to bless and pray over the boxes with the students.
