When I assumed the role of president in June of 2019, I began an informal evaluation of our admissions process. This review included conversations with relevant staff members. Over the past four months, with the support of Enrollment Catalyst, a significant amount of time and energy has been invested in assessing our past and current enrollment practices. Increasing enrollment is an essential component to the medium- and long-term success of Nouvel Catholic Central (NCC). We must commit ourselves to a more active and intentional approach to attracting and retaining students and families. To that end, I am pleased to share with you that NCC will be establishing an admissions office to better serve our community.
The first step in this process is that the advancement and marketing office will now be focusing a majority of their time and talent on admissions related activities. Mrs. Kelly Breasbois and Ms. Christa Webb will continue to be responsible for marketing and promoting NCC. Retaining these responsibilities is a logical step, as the admission and marketing efforts are complimentary. Fundraising requests and initiatives, as well as the tracking and acknowledgement of all donations to NCC, will still fall under the responsibility of the admissions and marketing office.
All admissions related activities (preschool through high school), from the initial point of contact with a prospective family/student through the completion of the enrollment process, will be facilitated by the admissions and marketing office. Moving forward, please direct any admissions questions and/or leads to Mrs. Breasbois and Ms. Webb. Once a family/student has completed registration and transitioned form a “potential” to a “current” family, the admissions and marketing office will step back as other members of our team step in to support the family/student. Please note the re-enrollment process for 2020-2021 will remain largely unchanged. Registration packets will be mailed early next week.
The newly created admissions office will be discussed in greater detail at the Enrollment Catalyst update meeting on Thursday, March 12. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I humbly ask for your support of this new process. With your support and encouragement, I am confident that this new approach will yield benefits that will enhance the experience of every member of the Nouvel community.
Respectfully,
