Good evening, Nouvel Catholic Central families -
As a result of this afternoon’s storm there are several areas in our community that are currently without power. In addition to the storm damage, we have also been notified of a third high school student as well as a teacher at the High School who have tested positive for COVID-19.
With the number of our families' homes who have lost power, it is very difficult to contact trace and notify those close contacts within a timely manner. While we were originally considering another remote day of instruction, as a result of our inability to ensure that all of our families have the ability to work remotely, we are going to have a “snow” day tomorrow, Wednesday, September 8th for both campuses. There will be no instruction offered tomorrow. As of this moment, all sporting events and practices will remain as scheduled. We will provide an overall update of Athletics by 1 pm tomorrow to ensure everyone is clear on what is available.
We will continue to try and notify the students and their families if they are considered a close contact as a result of these two latest positive cases. If you have any questions, I can be reached at the school tomorrow at 989-399-2221.
