Five Nouvel Catholic Central High School seniors have been selected to submit artwork for competition in the Michigan Art Education Association’s (MAEA) Region 11 Exhibition Show. The local competition takes place at the Saginaw Art Museum (1126 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw).
The exhibition features more than 100 works from elementary through high school students in various media. Student artwork is currently on display at the museum for the public to view. On Saturday, February 29, there will be a closing ceremony from 1 to 3 p.m. with awards being presented at 2 p.m.
Congratulations to the following Nouvel students: Brenna Radke – tempera painting, Kieran Schultz – pen and ink drawing, Alivia Butko, Maria Gross and Brianna Martin – black and white photography.
A selection of artwork from the regional competition will be chosen to advance to the MAEA State Art Show held in East Lansing.
The Nouvel Catholic Central Student Art Show will take place April 2, 3 and 4 at Nouvel Catholic Central High School as part of the annual Fine Arts Festival. This event will feature several mediums of student artwork.
Additionally, Nouvel Catholic Central High School art students will be competing in the Saginaw Valley State University High School Invitational March 23 - April 9 and the 33
rd Annual Saginaw County Art Exhibit at Fashion Square Mall April 27 – May 3.
