Throughout the week of December 6-10th,
Covenant HealthCare hosted "The Lights Before Christmas" as a way to bring some holiday lights and magic to the kids currently staying in the hospital. On Wednesday, December 8, members from our Girl's Varsity Basketball team and students from both the Elementary/Middle School and High School came together to sing Christmas carols as the community worked together to light up the hospital.
Senior, Sterling Solek shared, "everyone who was able to participate had such a great experience. It made us feel good, helped remind us what Christmas is all about and inspired us to do more for others. We all said we would do it again and the best part was watching the kids wave back to all of us."
A special thanks to Mrs. Jacqmain, Campus Minister/Theology Instructor for organizing the event and leading the students in songs, as well as Coach Wilson for encouraging his basketball team to serve together.
A video from the event can be found online
here. Nouvel students are featured around the 3:35 mark. Although we don't have a choir like they reference in the video, we think our students did amazing and cannot thank them enough for their service!
