Music Education is a part of the well-rounded education your child receives at Nouvel. We believe it improves our students’ learning in all of the core academic subjects. Most importantly, music enhances our students’ worship to our Lord in their classrooms and during our weekly Mass. The general music program uses McGraw-Hill's Share the Music. The series includes singing, playing instruments, listening, composing, improvisation and other skills to align with the music standards and benchmarks.

The Band Program is an integral and rewarding activity for grades 5-8 who choose to experience playing an instrument. Students are taught how to interpret notation and play with technical accuracy, but most importantly allowing the students to experience music themselves and therefore enriching their character. Students are instructed according to the National and State Standards of Music Education using method books and sheet music.
