For planning and budgeting purposes, we need to know how many students to plan on for the first day of school each year. Nouvel Catholic Central makes decisions early in the spring, essential to the retaining and hiring of staff, classes and purchasing additional curriculum and materials. We rely closely on enrollment projections, per grade level to make the most informed decisions, allowing us to be the best stewards of tuition dollars. 

Every February there will be a communication reminder from the school informing the families that might be thinking about leaving Nouvel Catholic Central to notify us by March 1. It will be an opportunity to 'opt out' of enrollment for the following year. Families that plan to stay will only be responsible for their $250 tuition deposit.

Changes can continue to be made any point in the year by calling our Business Office. You can switch your electronic funds transfer account, payment frequency or other information concerning your financial commitment.

We will still continue to ask parents to review and verify additional personal information online as needed, as well as update any information that requires an annual update (sports physicals, media release, etc.).  This information is not part of the re-enrollment process so it will not be changing.  However, we will continue to look for easier ways to do these updates.

Your future plans will influence our current decisions. Since crucial staffing, curriculum and building decisions are made in the spring, we rely on enrollment numbers to make the most informed decisions. For that reason, if you opt out of your contract for the following school year, by March 1, there is no penalty. 

However, if you notify us of your decision to leave after March 1, Nouvel Catholic Central will charge you one month of the upcoming year's tuition. 

We understand that God's plans can be much different than our own. We always want to be as flexible and as understanding as possible, while still being the best stewards with financial resources.

If you notify the school, prior to March 1, there is no penalty.

After March 1, if you decide to leave Nouvel for personal reasons, you will be responsible for one month of the upcoming year's tuition as so many decisions are made in the spring, based on enrollment projections for the following school year. 

However, if you planned on staying at Nouvel but need to leave due to major life changes or unforeseen circumstances, our leadership team will review your unique situation on a case-by-case basis to consider releasing you from the contract. Exemptions from the withdrawal penalty include:

• Moving/relocating 25+ miles from Nouvel Catholic Central
• Educational needs for the student that can no longer be met by Nouvel Catholic Central
• Dis-enrollment at the request of Nouvel Catholic Central
• Other circumstances as approved by the Board of Trustees

Our leadership team does a lot of planning to ensure that we're prepared to successfully fulfill our mission every year. In order to make the best plans for staffing, programs, materials, curriculum and facility usage, we need to know how many students to expect in each grade level, per year. If a family plans to re-enroll but then withdrawals before the first day of school, our planning is significantly impacted. 

Based on families' feedback for an easier process and still needing to effectively plan each year, we began looking at other practices.  We found some of the best-in-class schools use the continuous enrollment model to meet the needs of both the families and school.

Continuous enrollment will start in February 2023. Contracts are due by March 1, 2023.  We look forward to serving Nouvel Catholic Central families in this way and making the process even more convenient.
