Nouvel Catholic Central is proud to announce the return of our Theater program. After COVID-19 shut down the spring 2020 musical and COVID protocols made it difficult for the 2020-2021 academic year, students have been eager to see the theater program return to Nouvel. In addition to the excitement of the program returning, Nouvel is pleased to announce the distinguished team that will be leading students on the stage and behind the scenes.
Please give a large Panther welcome to Jeanne Gilbert, director, Judy Harper, assistant director and Caleb Hopper, technology director. This trio of theater professionals have a successful history of working together and will be bringing new opportunities to our Nouvel students. “We are excited to share our passion of theater with the students,” shared Harper. “Participating in the fine arts programs provides so many additional opportunities and ways for students to express their creativity.”
Gilbert added, “We have some big plans for this school year and are thrilled to see so many students interested in the program. In addition to bringing back the spring musical, we are hoping to work with the students so they are prepared to compete through the Michigan Interscholastic Forensic Association (MIFA) in January/February.”
The theater program is always looking for more interested students. If you have not done so already, please contact Mr. Kreger at 989.399.2221 to be added to the list or look for more details in the daily announcements.
