Congratulations to NCCHS STEM students for being one of six schools represented in the top 18 teams to compete for a 2022-23 A.H. Nickless Innovation Award. Led by Ms. Wagner, the students will continue to work together in teams to "think innovatively and develop solutions to problems affecting the world." For Phase One, teams were responsible for identifying a problem and submitting a two-page description of its proposed project. The three teams from Nouvel will each receive a $1,000 grant to conduct their research and develop a solution. Not only are the students representing Nouvel as they advance to Phase Two of the competition, they also reflect 3 of the 18 teams who will be competing regionally. The final competition will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Saginaw Valley State University and winning teams will each take home a share of up to $77,500 in scholarships for students and STEM education grants for schools. Representing Nouvel are sophomores: Ta'Najah Farris, Veronica Gross and Sarah Moore (not pictured) - juniors: Riley Mattheis and Cade Norman - seniors: Colin Kaul, Ashley McDonald, Ryan McDonald, Jacob Miros, Andrew Wagner and Ionna Zeleniuk. The students are pictured with NCCHS STEM Instructor/Leader, Ms. Wagner. Congratulations and good luck to our STEM leaders!
