In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week we have four spotlights this week! Congratulations to another one of our Nouvel Teachers of the Week, Mrs. Diane Damsen. Mrs. Damsen has been teaching since 1986 within the Catholic Diocese. She currently serves as our math support teacher.
Mrs. Damsen's favorite Saint is Saint Stephen, because he was the first person killed for his faith, and she also attended and taught at St. Stephen's Elementary and High School.
Her favorite saying is, "when in doubt, DON'T". She doesn't have a favorite book because she really enjoys all that she reads, however, growing up she really enjoyed "To Kill a Mockingbird".
Mrs. Damsen loves working with kids and wants to "help them become the best that they can be, just as my mom helped me to do."
When asked about her proudest teaching moment, Mrs. Damsen shared, "my proudest moments are when my students that that aha moment in grasping a difficult concept for them."
Mrs. Damsen and her family are members at St. Dominic Catholic Church.
