Congratulations to our Nouvel Teacher of the Week, Mrs. Sara Vance. Mrs. Vance is in her first year teaching the developmental reading program and prior to this position, was a Kindergarten teacher at Nouvel. 

Mrs. Vance's favorite Saint is Saint Nicholas of Myra, the Patron Saint of children and her favorite saying is "find the good in every day".

Her proudest teaching moments are when she can act as a facilitator between the kids, helping them learn to lift each other up and work through problems together. She also shared that she loves when kids crack the code of reading.

When asked what inspires her, Mrs. Vance shared, "I love working with these honest and curious little people. I'm inspired by my colleagues that go the extra mile, who are here after hours or are working at home on evenings/weekends. I am always inspired by mom fun-loving mom, Jan Conley, who taught kindergarten for years at St. Stephens."
