Congratulations to our Nouvel Teacher of the Week, Mrs. Rebecca Miller. Mrs. Miller is one of our Kindergarten teachers and has been teaching at Nouvel for four years. Previously she taught preschool for four years before coming to Nouvel.

Mrs. Miller's favorite book for personal reading is Jane Eyre and her favorite book for kids is Jesus Calling The Story of Christmas by Sarah Young. Her favorite Saint is St. Catherine of Siena because she loves her boldness in her faith.

Mrs. Miller is inspired by music and quotes it as being a "great way for me to find inspiration for many things in my life, including teaching." She also shared, "I play guitar and love to sing. Music is one of my favorite ways to worship and pray."

When asked about what she loves most about teaching Kindergarten, Mrs. Miller shared, "I love that they come into the year saying they can't reach (which they remind me of every time I call them readers) - then, when they read their first few sight words in our decodable books, I love to make a huge deal out of the fact that they are readers now and just read a book! Nothing compares to the smiles of pride they have for themselves!"
