Congratulations to senior, Micaela Lewis on signing play basketball with at Albion College. On Monday, June 3, Micaela signed her NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Celebratory Signing form before school at a special reception with her family, friends, coaches and NCC staff.

“Micaela was an incredible leader with an outstanding dedication to building the girls’ basketball program here at Nouvel,” said Coach John Wilson. “As a two-year captain, Micaela was always there when we needed anything and always gave her all. Her consistency, positive attitude and team effort will definitely be missed,” added Wilson.

While at Nouvel Catholic Central, Lewis has had a great athletic and academic career. Some of her accolades include:

• Earning a 3.5 GPA while playing Varsity Tennis and Basketball
• Earning All-Conference, All-Area and All-State awards in Basketball
• Being recognized on Mlive.com as Saginaw Area Player of the week for Varsity Girls Basketball while being nominated multiple times during her Junior and Senior years

Lewis lives in Freeland and is the daughter of Kevin and Carol Lewis. In addition to playing collegiate basketball, Lewis plans to study biochemistry at Albion College.
