Nearly 100 students from three Saginaw County middle and high schools came together on Saturday, March 17 with one common goal, feeding those less fortunate. Students from Carrollton, Swan Valley and Nouvel Catholic Central partnered together again this year to support Kids Against Hunger, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the United States and starving children around the world.
The student and adult volunteers were able to prepare 20,642 meal packages in just a few hours. Meals prepared on Saturday will go to support local efforts through Hidden Harvest, US Disaster Relief and Global Relief.
