Through the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw’s inaugural
Excellence in Teaching Award, two Nouvel Catholic Central Schools teachers were selected as award finalists out of the 39 nominations submitted.
Nouvel Catholic Central Schools (NCCS) would like to congratulate Mrs. Amanda Montini (Nouvel Catholic Central Elementary) and Mrs. Meredith Adelman (Nouvel Catholic Central High School) on their deserving recognition.
Montini is completing her 18
th year of service to NCCS. She currently teaches in the Second Grade. One of Montini’s nominators shared, “Her relationship with parents and students shows great care and concern for the individual student. She provides creative instruction and a fun, safe environment for her students.”
Adelman currently teaches Social Students and serves as the Department of Social Studies Chair. She has taught in Catholic education for 21 years, most recently completing her 7
th year of service to NCCS. One of Adelman’s nominators shared, “Mrs. Adelman is someone who teaches her material in so many different ways, and she always takes into account the needs of her students. Mrs. Adelman creates an engaging and inspiring environment for each and every one of her students, always managing to make History a class everyone can enjoy.”
“Nouvel Catholic Central is blessed to have teachers who work so hard to create outstanding academic and faith filled experiences for their students,” said Superintendent of Catholic Schools, Cormac Lynn. “Through the submissions we received, it is clear that there are many people in our Nouvel community that recognize and are grateful for Mrs. Montini and Mrs. Adelman’s commitment to their students and Catholic education,” added Lynn.
